The Flavour Profile
This coffee is a medium roast featuring a light to medium body. Its smooth flavor works well with any type of extraction, while filter coffee drinkers will find molasses and subtle wine notes and espresso enthusiasts will find hints of red wine and banana notes with low acidity.
The Little Details
This coffee comes from Kabatunda Cases District in Uganda. 840 smallholder producers will handpick their cherries and deliver to Kabatunda buyer. It's grown 1500 to 1700 metres above sea level. It's a drawn of SL14 and SL28 coffee beans.
About the Process
During the harvest, each producer will hand pick their cherries and deliver to Kabatunda washing station Agri Evolve Wet Mill, where they are submerged in water to remove floaters and sorted. The sorted cherries are then placed on raised drying racks to dry in the open sun for roughly two weeks.The cherries are frequently turned to ensure an even drying occurs. the dried cherries are then delivered to the dry mill, hulled and prepared for export.
